Business Development Manager – Air Traffic Control Systems

£75,000 to  £85,000 Negotiable Basic + Car + Benefits

Ideally you will have a background within Air Traffic Control or have Contacts within Air Traffic Control coupled with a Sales background confident to develop and open new opportunities globally. You will be joining a well-established business at a time of huge expansion with the support and backing of a truly Global parent company. After initial settling in you could be based from home with up to c.40% of your time traveling mainly to Africa and the Pacific Basin.

With complete radar systems being sold to civil and defence customers around the world, your role will be to form and manage relationships with international ‘stake holders’ and to successfully position us as a complete system supplier of choice.

The Role

  • Work on a variety of projects in a global environment.
  • Maximise face time opportunities with customers through extensive travelling, smart technologies and by continuous communication.
  • Develop and manage the business development pipeline to deliver a profitable and sustainable future.
  • Identify and gather market intelligence on new customers, end-users and influencers.
  • Support sales and marketing activities including trade exhibitions, conferences and equipment demonstrations.

The Person

  • 5+ years of program management, business development, or operational experience in a technical/engineering environment.
  • Technical knowledge of Radar Surveillance Systems (Desirable but by no means essential).
  • Degree in Engineering or technical subject area.
  • International business experience with knowledge of customs and cultures (Desirable).
  • Willing and ability to travel internationally.
  • Strong negotiation/closing skills.
  • Clear and impactful communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business development and networking abilities.
  • Strong commercial acumen and broad commercial background.
  • Ability to identify and engage key decision makers at all levels.
